when you pretend to cheat on him so he can break up with you, but he finds out. (Optional Bias)

You watched your boyfriend’s performance for the 7^th time. Every time you see his smile and how happy he is on camera makes you realize how much he loves being an idol. Of course you supported him in every way, but sometimes you thought he was too good for you. You lived an ordinary life while your boyfriend lived the fame. You felt like you weren’t good enough to be in his life and didn’t want to be in his way of his career, something he defiantly loved more than you.

You paced around the room thinking about how to end the relationship. You didn’t have the guts to say “let’s break up” or “let’s end this” type of words. An idea then popped up in your head and you quickly grabbed your phone.

The phone kept ringing and someone picked up on the other line.

“Hello?” the voice of a boy answered.

“DaeJung-oppa?”

“I need your help…”

The next day, you sat on the benches in the park waiting for your friend. Your plan was to pretend to cheat on your boyfriend so he could break up with you. You didn’t want to break up because you loved him very much, but you understood to not get in the way of his career. Your boyfriend worked very hard to get where he is now at.

You started to zone out when you felt a light tap on your shoulder. You looked up and saw that it was your friend, Dae-Jung.

“Ready to go?” he said holding out his hand.

You hesitantly grabbed it,”Yeah…I’m ready. “

DaeJung then wrapped his arm around you and turned to you.

“_____-ah, are you sure you want to do this? I know you really love him and I think you shouldn’t do it. Just tell him how you feel about this.”

“DaeJung-oppa, you know how I’m not good with words. Please just help me this once?” you said pulling him faster.

You both arrived at the café ______ goes to when he needs to think or hang out with his members. You saw your boyfriend and you haven’t seen him in awhile. You pretended to not notice him and laughed casually as you entered the café.

Your boyfriend knew that laugh. He knew it was yours and couldn’t believe his eyes when turned around saw another man escorting you to a seat. You guys did look like a couple. _____’s mind was confused and his heart was mixed with anger and sadness. Your boyfriend didn’t want to assume so quickly, so he watched you and Dae-Jung from afar.

“maybe that’s her cousin, brother or very young uncle?!” your boyfriend thought.

“Dae-Jung-oppa, he’s not doing anything…” you whispered to DaeJung.

“____-ah, say oppa louder and put more aegyo into it.” DaeJung whispered back.

“OPPA, you’re so cute! How can you be this cute?” you said loudly and looked over to your boyfriend. He was fuming at this point.

“How can she call him “oppa”?! Is she cheating on me?” your boyfriend thought.

“Aigoo, I can’t be cute like you!” DaeJung cupped your face and kissed you lightly on the lips.

You were really surprised and pulled back,” DaeJung-oppa, not like this!”

You then felt a tight grip on your wrist and next thing you know, your boyfriend was tugging you out of the café. He then faced you and he looked like he was having a hard time letting words escape his mouth.

“____-ah, how could you…?” you noticed your boyfriend’s face was a mixture of pain, sadness, and anger. His eyes were watering and as soon tears flowed down his cheek, he turned away from you. He never liked crying in front of you.

You felt guilty at this point and regret doing this plan. You didn’t want him to leave you anymore. You didn’t care that he was an idol, you just wanted to be in his arms and love him. You quickly ran and wrapped your arms around him tightly from behind and you felt your own tears soak into his shirt.

“Oppa…I didn’t mean to….” you said quietly.

He turned you around and gripped your shoulders. Looking coldly into your eyes.

“_____-ah, you know how much I love you? Why would you do this to me? I thought you loved me.” His voice sounded cold and tense.

“Oppa, It was just a set up. I wanted you to feel pain so you could break up with me…” you choked out saying. You couldn’t speak because you were crying so much. You were a crybaby and couldn’t stop the tears.

“Why on earth would you do that?!” he shook your shoulders harder.

“I didn’t want to get in the way of your career, okay?! I thought it’d be better if you were fine without me. You’re always so happy on camera and you love being an idol. Me? I’m just another person in the way. I want you to be successful and have no worries. You love your job more than me, right?” You said still crying.

“Jagi, I’m happy to be an idol BECAUSE of you. You’re my everything. You support me all the time and I love that about you. I’d never choose my job over you. I do everything for you. I write my songs for you, I sing for you, I dance for you, everything I do is because of you. I love you more than my job. Why would ou ever think that?” He smiled and wiped your tears away.

“You really mean that…?” you said smiling back and looking at him passionately.

“I mean everything. Don’t ever think that again AND don’t you ever do that again. That was very painful to watch, you know…” he said looking sad.
“I’m sorry, Oppa. Forgive me?” you tippy toed to wrap your arms around his neck and kiss him lips.

“You’re forgiven.” He wrapped his arms around you tightly so that you could never leave him.

You saw DaeJung leaving the café and giving you thumps up. You smiled softly and mouthed thank you while hugging your boyfriend.

“So….care to explain who was that guy? and why’d he kiss you? And why’d you call him oppa? AND why you use your cute aegyo?” your boyfriend was shooting you with many questions you couldn’t follow.

“Oppa! I told you it was a pretend!” you smiled and ran away so you couldn’t answer him.

“Yah! You’re only supposed to use those on ME! At least not go that far!” he said running after you and swooping you into his arms.

you both giggled and spent the rest of the day with each other.
